CONTEC is the official bicycle parts and accessories brand of Hermann Hartje KG in Hoya, Lower Saxony. Since 2005, we have been developing high-quality bike parts designed for both everyday cyclists and professional bicycle mechanics. As a wholesale brand and full-range supplier, we equip specialist dealers and workshops throughout Europe.
Our guiding principle is that we want to give every cyclist the opportunity to customize and repair their bike. Whether you're a leisurely e-bike rider, an active mountain biker, or a sporty road cyclist. After all, why should we always replace or even dispose of our old bike instead of upgrading it with accessories and repairing it with replacement parts? It's time to rethink!
Our team
Wholesale brand = large corporation? Quite the opposite. The CONTEC team consists of just five people. Lena, Silke, and Christopher are responsible for product development and management, René for brand management, and Emely for brand communication.
Close cooperation in a small team enables the CONTEC brand to speak with one voice – whether in terms of product selection, marketing, or cooperation with CONTEC partners, i.e., our customers in the specialist trade.
Speaking of the specialist trade: Out there, almost 30 sales representatives and numerous delivery drivers are on the road for CONTEC across Europe, ensuring that our products remain available for you in stores. CONTEC RECYCLE
Did you know that since 2021 we have been avoiding plastic in our packaging as much as possible? We don't just do this for our new parts. Our existing products, some of which may still be in circulation at specialist retailers in their old packaging, have also been delivered in new, plastic-free packaging since this change.
We are also increasingly focusing on more sustainable production in our product range. With this in mind, we have launched completely new series in recent years that include products made from recycled materials: These include our new helmets with components made from marine plastic, recycled PET bottles, and water-based paints, as well as new saddles made from 100% recycled high-density PU foam.
