The "Spike.22" consists of a robust, extremely torsionally-resistant and lightweight aluminium cage and aluminium body. Thanks to the CNC-milled axle with the typical 9/16" thread made of particularly break-proof CrMo steel, the "Spike.22" can handle even the heaviest hits off-road and can be mounted on any common crank.
The 2 x 22 replaceable CrMo pins on the large contact surfaces ensure maximum grip even in muddy and wet conditions. They can be replaced as need: Lost or worn pins can easily be replaced by CONTEC R-pins by screwing them into the threaded inserts provided with the appropriate tool.
Sealed cartridge bearings ensure maximum smooth rotation and long durability and effectively prevent premature wear due to the ingress of moisture and dirt. Without reflectors, made of aluminium and in solid quality, the CONTEC MTB/freeride pedal "Spike.22" is reduced to the essentials and is specifically adapted to the off-road requirements on an MTB.
