Every cyclist has individual requirements for their bike. Because not all requirements for special riding comfort can be met from a technical point of view, small changes make sense. This also applies to the tried-and-tested method of raising the handlebar. The lightweight CONTEC steerer tube extension "Heads-Up" weighs only 220g and has been developed for widely used Aheadset forks.

Experienced trekking enthusiasts know that the handlebar can be used to implement many adjustments to suit their needs. If the handlebar is properly adjusted and adapted to the physical needs, it can enable fatigue-free riding. In addition, the handlebar design is crucial for an ergonomic posture in terms of width, height and bends.

Raising the handlebar is ideal for influencing the handlebar position: The "Heads-Up" steerer tube extension in silver or black can be used for 1 1/8" forks. The component, which is equipped with an excellent tensile strength for bicycle handlebars on mountain bikes and trekking bikes, is made of aluminium 6061. This fragile, corrosion-resistant material is ideal for the stresses and strains of riding on complicated terrain.

To ensure the best possible height adjustment of the handlebar on the fork steerer tube to different body sizes, 5 spacers are supplied to adjust the height of the stem. These include a large spacer (8 mm) and 4 small spacers (5 mm). With this product, the normal fork steerer tube can be extended by up to 67 mm. Steering is not only safer, but there is also less strain on the wrists. The CONTEC fork steerer tube extension is therefore a versatile addition to any off-road bike.
